Xiaomi is preparing to broaden the rollout of its latest HyperOS 3 software, bringing the update to a wider range of smartphones, including models that will remain on Android 15.

The company has recently begun internal beta testing for a dozen older devices across its Redmi, Poco, and flagship Xiaomi lineups, according to testing logs from the Mi Community. The expansion follows the launch of HyperOS 3 for the Poco X7, Poco X7 Pro, Poco F7 Pro, and Poco F7 in late October.

Models such as the Redmi Note 12T Pro, Redmi Note 13 5G, and Redmi K60 Pro are among those identified for Android 15-based HyperOS 3 updates. Xiaomi also appears to be preparing similar software for the Poco F5 Pro and Poco X6 Neo. In addition, Android 13-based builds of HyperOS 3 are reportedly under development for older flagship devices, including the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12S Pro, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, and Pad 6 Pro.

Internal beta testing has also been spotted for the Xiaomi 12T Pro, Xiaomi 13 Lite, Civi 3, and MIX Fold 2. Xiaomi said that while its Android 16-based HyperOS rollout will soon reach another 20 devices, those not eligible for Android 16 will still receive HyperOS 3 to maintain feature consistency across its lineup. “We’re committed to ensuring users of older models continue to enjoy the performance and experience improvements brought by HyperOS 3,” the company stated.

The timeline for the stable release of HyperOS 3 to these older devices remains unconfirmed. However, Xiaomi’s dual-track update strategy—offering Android 16 for newer devices while extending HyperOS 3 to older ones—suggests the company is seeking to balance innovation with continued support for its broad user base.
