Xiaomi has begun crowdfunding in China for the Mijia Outdoor Multi-Function Light, a compact gadget designed for outdoor use that can function as a head torch, bike light or camping lantern.
The device, measuring 57 x 32 x 23.4 mm and weighing 86 grams, offers up to 600 lumens of white light with an illumination range of 110 metres. It supports three main modes — spotlight at 6,500k, floodlight at 4,000k, and a combined spot-floodlight option. In spotlight mode at maximum brightness, the built-in lithium-ion battery lasts around three hours, or up to 33 hours in lower settings. Charging via USB-C takes roughly two hours, with LED indicators showing remaining battery levels.
“The Mijia Outdoor Multi-Function Light delivers up to 600 lumens of white light, for an up to 110 m (~361ft) illumination range,” Xiaomi said in its crowdfunding announcement.
Accessories include two straps, two clips and a carrying bag. One clip can be adjusted up to 90 degrees, while the light also supports a red-light mode for visibility during night cycling or as an SOS signal. The unit is IP66-rated for dust and water resistance.
The product is currently available on Xiaomi’s Youpin crowdfunding platform for CNY 89 ($13), with a planned retail price of CNY 129 ($18). Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether the device will be released outside China, where it already markets products such as the Multi Function Camping Lantern in Europe.
