Garmin’s vivoactive 6 smartwatch is receiving a new beta software update, version 15.05, according to user reports on the company’s forums. The rollout follows stable version 12.74, which recently fixed a Wi-Fi download bug.

Forum users suggest the update adds three features. The watch’s Notification Center now includes access to Morning and Evening Report summaries, providing easier retrieval of daily data. A new gesture control lets users dismiss smart notifications by covering the display with their palm.

The update is also reported to fix a battery issue that caused faster-than-expected power drain. This adjustment is aimed at improving device performance during daily use.

Garmin has yet to officially confirm the beta release. “In one forum post, a user of this smartwatch suggests that this latest update brings three changes,” the forum report noted.

The update can be manually installed by navigating to Menu > Settings > System > Software Update. Garmin released similar beta builds for the Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 earlier in September, signaling ongoing testing across its product line.
