Pompeii: The Legacy, a Roman city-building game developed by Croatian studio Siscia Games, has launched on Steam early access at a discounted price of $17.99. The game combines traditional city-building systems with long-term generational progression.

Set in the aftermath of catastrophe, players manage a Roman city through the perspective of a founding family. Political alliances, trade agreements, and marriage choices influence heirs and determine long-term prosperity, adding weight to early decisions across decades.

The early access release includes three modes: a narrative campaign with voice acting, a sandbox mode, and a creative mode. The game features isometric and 3D perspectives, detailed Roman architecture, Steam Deck support, and localization in 11 languages.

Siscia Games built the project using a proprietary engine, outsourcing art and voice production to freelancers. Playtests held earlier in 2025 shaped balancing and feature adjustments ahead of the public release.

The studio expects early access to last about six months, with upcoming updates focusing on expanded military systems and political features. The standard price is set at $19.99, though adjustments may depend on the volume of content added before full release.
