Huawei has begun rolling out a global software update for its Watch D2 smartwatch, adding several health-oriented features and performance enhancements aimed at improving user wellness tracking.
The new release, version 6.0.0.12 (C00M06), introduces a blood pressure reminder tool, expanded heart rate variability (HRV) insights, and a new HealthMate watch face centered on health metrics. The update brings the original Watch D2 closer in functionality to the recently launched Watch D2 Blue Edition, which is currently listed at €349 on Amazon Germany, according to reports from Huaweiblog.de.
As outlined in the release notes, users can now schedule alerts prompting them to take one-off blood pressure measurements at specific times, a feature Huawei says is designed to “help users establish a consistent health monitoring routine.”
The heart rate app has also been refined to show HRV data and to log historical workout and recovery heart rate statistics. Interface improvements have been made as well, enhancing user experience when reviewing fitness data.
The newly added HealthMate watch face displays real-time health information and provides a shortcut to start a full health check directly from the home screen. Huawei also notes unspecified “general improvements to system stability” in the latest update.
Software version 6.0.0.12 is being released in phases and will be accessible via the Huawei Health app once available to each region.
