OnePlus has confirmed that a new smartwatch is set for release, expanding a broader wave of product teasers the company began issuing this week. While full details remain limited, the device is described in promotional material as “coming soon,” and early sketches point to a profile measuring roughly 8.9 mm. OnePlus noted in its campaign materials that the watch’s official name will be disclosed later in the month, adding in one teaser that the product is part of its “next wave of devices.”
The company is preparing several launches across its global markets, including the OnePlus 15R and an as-yet-unnamed tablet. Compared with those products, the smartwatch remains the most enigmatic. According to the published timeline for its early-bird programme, the new wearable is expected to appear around December 17, with promotional offers running through January 31, 2026.

OnePlus has not provided specifications beyond the silhouette shared in its marketing sketches. However, the timing of the announcement has prompted industry observers to draw comparisons with the Oppo Watch S, introduced by Oppo roughly a month earlier in Europe and the UK. The Oppo model features an ultra-thin construction, leading analysts to suggest the OnePlus device may share design elements or originate from the same development platform.
The company’s strategy for wearables has fluctuated in recent years, but the renewed push suggests a continued effort to re-establish its presence in the smartwatch segment. The new device is expected to target buyers seeking a slimmer alternative to existing models such as the Watch X2 or OnePlus Watch 3.

While the official reveal remains weeks away, OnePlus’ decision to preview the product signals increasing competition among Android-based smartwatch makers ahead of the holiday season. The forthcoming launch is likely to offer clarity on features, pricing and how closely the model aligns with Oppo’s recent designs.
