Sony has confirmed the titles included in its mid-December PlayStation Plus catalogue update, expanding the offering beyond what was suggested in an earlier leak. The company detailed eight games set to join the service this month.
The update follows a claim by leaker billbil_kun, who reported that three triple-A titles would be added. Sony’s announcement reveals a broader selection than previously expected. “Eight games will be available to play at no extra cost later this month,” the company said, though access varies by platform and membership tier.

Sony recently added Red Dead Redemption, Skate Story and Lego Horizon Adventures to the subscription service. Beginning December 16, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Cat Quest III, Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Two children’s titles — Paw Patrol: Grand Prix and Paw Patrol World — will also be added for both consoles on the same date.
Planet Coaster 2 will join the catalogue as a PS5-exclusive title. Meanwhile, a remastered version of Soulcalibur III will be accessible to both PS4 and PS5 players but restricted to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. Sony described the release as an “enhanced version of the PS2 classic.”
The company also noted that purchasing any 12-month PlayStation Plus membership on a PS5 between December 11 and January 12 will trigger a Sony Pictures Core Movie credit promotion. Further details are available via the PlayStation Blog.
