Garmin has announced its February 2026 Feature Update for a range of smartwatches, introducing new health and training tools while discontinuing feature support for the Fenix 7 series.
The update, the first major release of 2026, replaces the version issued in November 2025 and follows a series of incremental software updates delivered in recent months. Garmin said the February package applies to newer models including the Fenix 8, Forerunner 970, Instinct 3 and Venu 4, among others, while omitting the older Fenix 7 lineup.

Garmin is focusing on seven primary additions in the release. The company confirmed that Garmin Fitness Coach, which debuted on the Venu 4, will expand to more devices. Other changes include Varia Voice Alerts, Sport Scores and a Course Planner feature designed to enhance training and navigation capabilities.
The update also introduces Sleep Alignment, a feature that allows users to see how closely their sleep patterns match their circadian rhythm. In its announcement, Garmin said it has “added the option of seeing how aligned you are to your circadian rhythm through something called Sleep Alignment.”

Additional tools such as Battery Manager and an Expanded Morning Report will be available on select models, including the Instinct 3 series. Garmin said the February 2026 Feature Update will roll out gradually, without providing a specific timeline for full deployment.
