Garmin has issued a new stable update for its Vivoactive 6 and Venu X1 smartwatches, promoting its latest beta build to general availability as Software Version 15.33. The update, now rolling out globally, follows a series of beta releases that began with Software Version 15.16 in late October.
The company had continued refining the firmware through multiple beta iterations, including Software Version 15.31, before advancing to the current stable build. In its announcement, Garmin said the update contains “various bug fixes and improvements,” a phrase that leaves the full scope of changes undisclosed. The company added that the new version includes more than the limited entries listed in its changelog.

One confirmed fix addresses a system crash that could occur when playing music over Bluetooth headphones during an activity. Garmin described the issue as “a potential crash that previously happened when playing music through Bluetooth headphones,” noting that it had been reported only under active-use conditions.
According to Garmin’s forum post, approximately 50% of Vivoactive 6 and Venu X1 devices eligible for stable updates have received a download prompt for the new software. Users who have not yet received the notification can initiate a manual installation by navigating to Menu > Settings > System and selecting “Check for Updates.” The Venu X1 is currently priced at $595 on Amazon.

Garmin has not disclosed when the remaining devices will receive the update or whether additional revisions are planned.
