Security firm Check Point Research (CPR) discovered a Trickbot malware attack. Trickbot is a sophisticated piece of malware that can be downloaded and executed at the attacker’s discretion.
This kind of malware allows the execution of various types of malicious activity and can pose a danger to its victims.
Citing information from Check Point Research received by Tekno Liputan6.com, Thursday (17/2/2022), the Trickbot malware has infected more than 140,000 devices belonging to customers of 60 leading companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, and Google.

Check Point Software Technologies’ Cyber Security, Research and Innovation Manager Alexander Chailytko said, “The number of Trickbots is staggering. We documented more than 140,000 machines targeting customers from some of the world’s largest and leading companies.”
These customers come from all over the world. The same research also mentions that Trickbot malware infection has been carried out since November 2020.
