Reddit just rolled out an update to its search feature. Now, users can easily search for specific comments in a post. This comment search feature eliminates the traditional way users often scroll through the comments column to find someone’s statement or related information.
According to the official Reddit announcement, the comment search feature is rolling out on the desktop. Users can search by keyword, then a list of the search results will appear.
Users can search for comments from within the community (subreddits) in the same way. Just visit the subreddit, use the search bar at the top of the page, then click Comments.
In addition to the comment search feature, Reddit has also added some improvements to the search tool. This includes an updated and simplified search results page, as well as improvements to search results.
Lastly, the changes involve things like matching search results. Users will later see search results that are even broader than the keywords used. It also optimizes search based on previous user clicks.
