Fossil has just launched its Skagen Falster Gen 6 smartwatch based on the Wear OS operating system. It is the successor to the Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch which was launched last year.
The Fossil Skagen Falster Gen 6 smartwatch features a slightly different design from the Fossil Gen 6 lineup and comes with other additional features. The latest wearable device from Fossil has a stainless steel material, a 1.28-inch AMOLED screen, and a 42mm case size.
Inside, the Fossil Skagen Falster Gen 6 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor, which is combined with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
The Skagen Falster Gen 6’s magnetic charging port supports fast charging, but there’s no information on how fast this will charge. There are also various sensors for monitoring. The sensors present in this device include heart rate detection, Sp02, compass, gyroscope, and altimeter.
The Skagen Falster Gen 6 will use Wear OS 2, but will be able to update to Wear OS 3. The smartwatch is said to be water resistant to 5 ATM (50 meters). As for connectivity, the Skagen Falster Gen 6 has Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC.
The smartwatch from Fossil will be available in 5 color variants, with basically the same size and design. There are several strap options available including Skagen leather, silicone and stainless steel mesh.
The device is also informed that it is compatible with 20 mm straps.
