Canon has just launched a new 4K outdoor camera that can function as both a traditional camera and a rangefinder camera, the CR-X300. This all-in-one camera can be widely used in various outdoor shooting scenes such as weather monitoring, outdoor sports event live broadcast, wildlife shooting, amusement park and so on.
The CR-X300 is powered by the Digic DV6 image processor and uses the same core components as professional cameras. It supports Full HD super-sampling HD processing from 4K sensors and can incorporate 4K UHD pixels acquired by 4K CMOS image sensors.
The camera from Canon is not only equipped with the standard anti-shake function, which can offer 4-way image stabilization with vertical/horizontal rotation correction. The camera is also equipped with a stronger shockproof function with superior correction effects, perfect for telephoto shooting.
The sensor size of the Canon CR-X300 is 1/2.3 inch CMOS, and it is a 20x zoom lens with 4K optics. It supports 29.3mm wide-angle to 601mm telephoto and can shoot and shoot high-quality 4K 30P / 4:2:2 10-bit video, suitable for a variety of video shooting scenes from wide-angle to ultra-telephoto.
Not to forget, Canon designed it with IP65 waterproof and dustproof certification. There are also electric wipers, and a body made of anti-corrosion material. This way the camera can be used in high winds and heavy rain outdoor environments without the need for a protective case.
The CR-X300 is also equipped with a portable handheld gimbal that can be safely and easily carried with one hand when it is necessary to use it in various scenes. In addition, this camera supports “PoE++”, which can use a LAN cable to supply power and control it. This allows for savings in cabling and unit costs.
