The BenQ X3000i offers 4K HDR resolution projection and uses 4LED technology for increased brightness and longer LED life.
This projector has ultra-low latency projection, measuring only 4ms when displayed in 1080p/240Hz, and growing to 16ms at full resolution of 4K/60Hz. Thus, this projector is able to provide an agile display.
X3000i is capable of displaying brightness of up to 3,000 lumens (924 nits) with a contrast ratio of 500,000:1 thanks to the Dynamic Black algorithm it carries. There is also a 2D keystone and a zoom of up to 1.3x which allows for better adjustments to the screen.
The projector has a pair of 5 watt full-range speakers capable of offering virtual 3D surround (via Bongiovi DPS technology), and for those with their own system, enabling Dolby Atmos and 7.1 pass-through via eARC.
The advantage of 4LED over 3LED is that it adds a fourth blue LED in addition to the red, blue and green LEDs found in typical projectors. There are several advantages that this type of LED offers, one of which is an 8-12% increase in overall brightness compared to 3LED projectors with LEDs of the same size.
In order for 3LED models to achieve the brightness that 4LEDs produce, they need to increase the surface area of the LEDs, resulting in a larger overall projector and increased heat output, which in turn reduces their lifespan. BenQ claims that the 4LED array on the X3000i can last up to 20,000 hours. The price of this projector is USD1,999.
