CD Projekt Red has released a new patch for its 2020 role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077, bringing improvements to recently added AutoDrive and photo mode features, as the studio continues to respond to player feedback.
The update, version 2.31, builds on July’s major 2.3 release, which introduced missions, vehicles and AutoDrive, a system that allows players to let cars navigate to chosen destinations. While the July release was intended to be the final major content update, the company said it remained committed to “fixing issues and further improving the player experience.”
AutoDrive has now been optimized to allow vehicles to overtake stationary traffic, handle turns more smoothly and travel at higher speeds. “In Free Roam, it will follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably,” the update notes. The system will also bypass traffic lights when heading to a selected point.
Photo mode enhancements include expanded character poses that work across genders and the disabling of non-player character collisions for easier positioning. The patch also resolves quest-related issues and improves ray-traced reflections for PC and Mac users.
CD Projekt Red is also developing a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, which entered pre-production earlier this year. Actor Keanu Reeves, who played Johnny Silverhand in the original game, recently said he would be open to returning to the role.
