After yesterday it was reported that the vivo S12 Series will use Dual LED Flash for its selfie camera, today the vivo S12 Series has finally been officially announced, consisting of the vivo S12 and the vivo S12 Pro.

Vivo S12

This device carries a 6.44-inch screen with an AMOLED panel, a 1080p screen resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz combined with a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz. The screen for this device will have HDR10+ support with a slightly wide notch which is the location of the 44 MP f/2.0 wide selfie camera and 8 MP f/2.3 ultrawide sensor.

Chipset will use MediaTek Dimensity 1100 which supports 5G, with RAM between 8 GB or 12 GB, and internal storage capacity at 256 GB. For the OS, the vivo S12 uses OriginOS Ocean which is a new OS developed by vivo itself.

Vivo S12 has a main camera with a triple camera setup, consisting of a 108 MP f/1.9 sensor, 8 MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and 2 MP portrait f/2.4. Both the rear camera and selfie camera will have Dual LED Flash and support for recording videos up to 4K quality at 30 fps. The battery capacity of this device is 4200mAh which is supported by charging speeds of up to 44W.

Vivo S12 Pro

For a higher version of the vivo S12 series, the vivo S12 Pro uses a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel screen that has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. The screen resolution itself is at 1080 × 2400 pixels with HDR10 + support and brightness up to 1300 nits.

Vivo S12 Pro uses MediaTek Dimensity 1200 which also has 5G support, combined with RAM between 8 GB or 12 GB, and storage capacity between 128 GB and 256 GB. The OS also uses OriginOS Ocean based on Android 11.

The main camera uses a triple camera setup of 108 MP + 8 MP ultrawide + 2 MP macro, while the selfie camera uses a 50 MP wide + 8 MP ultrawide sensor. Both have Dual LED Flash support and have the ability to record videos up to 4K quality at 30 fps.

The battery capacity it carries is slightly larger than the Vivo S12, which is 4300mAh with a charging speed of 44W.

The Vivo S12 starts at CNY 2,799, while the vivo S12 Pro starts at CNY 3,399. Both have a choice of Gold, Black, and Blue colors, respectively, and will go on sale officially starting December 30, 2021 in the Chinese market first.
