Metacritic has just released a list of the ugliest games of 2021. This list is based on average reviews from critics and has been approved. As it turned out, eFootball 2022 and GTA Definitive Edition entered the list of games with the worst reviews in 2021.

Launched in 1999, the site Metacritic claims that it curates reviews only from “the world’s most respected critic.”

Reporting from Video Game Chronicle, Tuesday (12/21/2021) the game with the worst score in 2021 is eFootball 2022 which was launched for free by Konami.

According to the Steam 250 website, eFootball 2022 tops the “Hall of Shame” category for the worst-reviewed games. From a total of 7,000 reviews, this game only has 8% positive reviews or about 1,600 votes.

The reviews given to eFootball 2022 almost touch all aspects of the game, such as the interface, poor graphics, gameplay, the small number of teams that can be played, to the disappointing ability of the AI.

Another game that had caught the eye, but was disappointing and included on this list is Square Enix’s Balan Wonderworld. The platformer game by Yuji Naka was released in March to very negative reviews, with a Metacritic score ranging from 36 to 51.

Another big game that is also included in the list of worst games of 2021 is Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition from Rockstar.

The highly anticipated collection of remastered games comes with a plethora of technical issues, as well as a variety of other issues that have players criticizing this legendary game.

Rockstar later apologized to fans for the state of their remastered game and promised a series of updates to improve the gaming experience.
