Garmin appears to be preparing a new stable software update for several of its high-end smartwatches, following the release of Beta Version 23.41, which introduces additional refinements for the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro series.
The company has not issued a new stable build since System Software 23.18 was released in September, leaving models such as the Epix 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and Fenix 7 without a feature-rich update for almost two months. Recent beta development has focused on improving device reliability after users reported shutdown problems during software updates, activity configuration and watch-face adjustments.

Beta Version 23.41 follows the prior beta release, v23.35, which aimed to resolve unexpected shutdowns and delivered other improvements. According to the original report, Garmin said the beta update “was said to resolve device shutdowns while bringing other refinements to the table too.” The only notable change between the two beta builds is the return of ECG functionality, which is typically introduced shortly before development moves into the stable firmware channel.
Although Garmin has not confirmed the rollout timeline, the addition of ECG support and limited differences between recent beta updates suggest that a stable release may arrive soon. Dive functionality remains disabled, which observers view as unusual ahead of a final public update.

The compiled improvements from System Software 23.18 through Beta Version 23.41 include fixes for device shutdowns, inReach message delivery, satellite notification display, tide alert accuracy and stability improvements for inReach Remote controls.
If the expected schedule holds, the pending stable update will provide long-awaited reliability improvements across Garmin’s flagship smartwatch lineup.
