Garmin has released another beta update for its high-end smartwatch lineup, including the Fenix E, Fenix 8, Tactix 8, and Enduro 3 models, as part of its ongoing v20.xx development cycle. The new software, labeled Beta Version 20.14, follows closely after Beta Version 20.13, which was issued earlier this week.
According to Garmin’s release notes, the latest update focuses on resolving several issues identified in the previous build. “We have addressed additional bugs found in Beta 20.13 to enhance device stability and performance,” the company said in its accompanying forum post.
The changelog for Beta Version 20.14 lists three key fixes:
-
Corrected tide alerts triggering during the sleep window.
-
Fixed touch lock control not toggling when Do Not Disturb mode is enabled.
-
Resolved an issue where the wallet PIN timeout screen allowed users to bypass the timer.
Despite recent expansions to its Public Beta Program, Garmin has chosen not to distribute Beta Version 20.14 to Fenix 8 Pro users. The company confirmed the update is currently available over-the-air for Beta Program participants using the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8, and Tactix 8.
While Garmin has not confirmed when the v20.xx series will transition from beta to stable release, the company indicated that several advanced capabilities—such as Aviation, Dive, and ECG functions—will remain inactive during this testing phase. These features are expected to roll out only in beta builds that are designated for final release.
Garmin’s steady cadence of updates reflects its commitment to improving software reliability across its premium smartwatch portfolio, even as it continues refining the features that will define the next major stable update.
