Garmin has rolled out software version 5.12 for its Bounce 2 smartwatch, marking a minor update aimed at improving device stability. The release follows the more substantial version 5.10 update issued only weeks earlier.
The Bounce 2, introduced in 2025 as an LTE-enabled smartwatch for children, features two-way voice messaging, calling functions and integrated voice commands. Garmin said the latest software “brings bug fixes to the smartwatch,” but did not specify the issues resolved. “The change log simply states that it brings bug fixes,” the original article noted.

Version 5.12 follows the earlier 5.10 update, which delivered improvements to battery life in poor LTE environments, added support for the Fish activity and included various fixes. Garmin has not indicated whether the new release builds on any of those earlier changes.
The company said the update is available to all Bounce 2 users and should install automatically when the smartwatch is connected to a phone running the Garmin Jr. app. Users can also opt to install the firmware through the Garmin Express desktop software.
