Garmin has introduced its latest premium aviator smartwatch, the D2 Mach 2, in the United States. The new model succeeds the D2 Mach 1 and adds several upgraded features, including a sapphire-protected AMOLED touchscreen, an integrated flashlight, and enhanced aviation mapping tools.
The D2 Mach 2 is available in two sizes, 47 mm and 51 mm. The smaller version comes with a titanium bezel and an Oxford Brown leather band, while the larger variant includes a carbon gray diamond-like carbon (DLC) titanium bezel paired with a matching titanium bracelet. Both models also include a QuickFit Pilot blue/black silicone strap for additional flexibility.
Garmin said the D2 Mach 2 provides “the most detailed color mapping” of any of its aviator models, supporting GPS, HSI and in-flight navigation functions. The smartwatch is also equipped with a built-in speaker and microphone that enable voice commands and phone calls, along with a red-shift flashlight mode designed to preserve night vision.
Beyond aviation tools, the D2 Mach 2 integrates Garmin’s popular wellness features, including the ECG app, Body Battery energy monitoring, and Evening Report. It also offers wrist-based heart rate tracking and various fitness insights, positioning the watch as both a flight companion and everyday wearable.
The Garmin D2 Mach 2 is available for purchase from the company’s official US store, priced at $1,349.99 for the 47 mm version and $1,499.99 for the 51 mm model. The previous-generation D2 Mach 1 remains on sale starting at $1,299.99.
