Garmin has begun 2026 by updating the design of one of its existing smartwatches, introducing a new Soft Gold colour option for the Venu X1 while leaving its hardware and functionality unchanged.
The company has added a third variant to the Venu X1 lineup, described as “Soft Gold with Titanium Caseback,” accompanied by a matching nylon strap that Garmin markets as “French Grey.” The new finish distinguishes the refreshed model from the earlier Black and Moss versions that were released in mid-2025.

Aside from the cosmetic update, the smartwatch retains the same specifications as previous models. Garmin said the Venu X1 continues to offer up to eight days of battery life, 5 ATM water resistance and a built-in flashlight, housed in a 7.9 mm thick case. The device also features a 2-inch AMOLED display and weighs 40 grams including the official band.
The Soft Gold Venu X1 is priced at $699.99, in line with the current list price of the other colour options and about $100 below the smartwatch’s original recommended retail price. Garmin noted that the model “has arrived for $699.99 to match the official prices of its Black and Moss siblings.”

The updated variant is available directly from Garmin as well as through third-party retailers such as Amazon, following a period during the holiday season when the Venu X1 had been sold at lower promotional prices.
