Garmin has released software version 5.10 for its Bounce 2 smartwatch, marking the latest stable update for the LTE-enabled device launched in September 2025. The update follows version 4.28, which improved LTE bar responsiveness and resolved several bugs. Garmin said the new release is intended to enhance performance and expand available features.
The company stated that version 5.10 improves battery life when the smartwatch operates in areas with weak LTE coverage, addressing a common challenge for always-connected devices. The update also introduces a new activity mode, Fish, and includes refinements for existing modes such as Run, Walk and Bike. Garmin described the changes as part of ongoing efforts to “improve the overall experience” for young users.

The Bounce 2 update adds support for additional languages, although specific languages were not listed in the release notes. Garmin also adjusted vibration settings, disabling reminders during school or sleep mode to reduce interruptions. The company said the update enhances call reliability when switching from Wi-Fi to LTE, an area noted as important for safety-focused devices designed for children.
Version 5.10 also addresses an issue affecting users who attempted to pair multiple sets of headphones or earbuds. Garmin reported that the fix resolves connection problems some users previously encountered.
