Google did something unique with the design of the latest generation Pixel 6 series. Unlike the previous generation of Pixel 6 phones, on the back there are some quite unique changes, where in addition to using a camera that is said to be more aesthetic, the back will be made of ceramic material.

According to well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Google teamed up with Foxconn, the company that also manufactures iPhones, to create the mysterious Pixel flagship and the long-rumored Pixel foldable phone in China.

This is surprising because in 2020, Google moved its manufacturing operations from China to Vietnam. But what’s even more interesting is the tipter’s claim that the unnamed Pixel device will be wrapped in ceramic.

Google has used plastic, glass, and metal in its phones, but has never tried ceramic materials. So, if tipster claims come true, we might soon see the first Pixel phones with ceramic materials.

Details regarding the ceramic-based Pixel are still unknown. But tipster states that the phone will feature a 2K display with a punch-hole in the middle for the selfie camera. The phone will be powered by the Tensor 2 chipset which is also found in the upcoming Pixel 7 phones.

Reporting from Gizmochina (8/8), the device is said to have a 50 MP camera and a periscope lens. Tipster also mentions that this phone will use a 64 MP Sony IMX787 sensor for telephoto.
