Honor has begun the international rollout of its Magic 8 Pro, roughly one month after the smartphone’s debut in China. Malaysia is the first market outside China to receive the flagship device, as the company continues expanding its premium smartphone portfolio globally.
Pre-orders are now open in Malaysia with two configurations available. The model equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage is priced at RM 4,599, while a higher-tier option with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage costs RM 5,199. Based on current exchange rates, the prices convert to approximately $1,113 and $1,258, respectively. Honor is offering promotional incentives, including an Insta360 Ace Pro, as part of the pre-order package.

The Malaysian version of the Magic 8 Pro features the same hardware specifications as the Chinese model. Highlights include a 7,100 mAh battery supporting 100 W wired and 80 W wireless fast charging, and a 6.71-inch display with 1,800-nit high-brightness mode and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, making it one of the first handsets built on the platform.
Honor positions the Magic 8 Pro as a camera-focused device. The company’s marketing emphasizes versatility and detail capture, stating that the camera system is capable of delivering strong performance across different shooting conditions. “The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone can capture detailed photos,” the article on the device noted, highlighting photography results from early testing.
