The engineering simulation game Mars First Logistics has moved out of early access with the release of its 1.0 version on PC. Developed by independent designer Ian MacLarty, the title tasks players with building vehicles to transport cargo across the Martian surface.
The full release introduces a range of new features, including expanded language support, additional job contracts and new construction components. Among these additions are so-called virtual ports, which allow players to simulate button inputs and create logic circuits, broadening the scope for experimentation with vehicle designs.
The game emphasizes open-ended problem-solving, giving players freedom to use parts such as wheels, jets and mechanical claws to assemble machines suited to specific tasks. A large procedural map of Mars provides the setting, while online co-op mode allows up to four players to collaborate on engineering challenges.
To mark the launch, Mars First Logistics is currently being offered on Steam with a limited-time 40% discount. The game follows MacLarty’s earlier projects, including the minimalist action title Jumpgrid, and is positioned to appeal to fans of creative sandbox and physics-based simulation games.
