Oppo has introduced the Watch S, a new smartwatch that stands out for its ultra-thin 8.9-millimeter design while maintaining a strong feature set. Despite its slim build, the device remains water-resistant up to 5 ATM and is designed to provide durability without compromising style.
According to the company, the Oppo Watch S delivers up to ten days of battery life in power-saving mode and around four days under normal use with the always-on display enabled. “The Oppo Watch S combines elegance and performance,” Oppo said in its announcement.
The smartwatch features a 45-millimeter round case housing a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 464 x 464 pixels and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Full brightness is available only in select sports modes, while standard use is limited to 1,500 nits to conserve battery power.
Powered by the BES2800BP processor and running on ColorOS Watch 7.1, the device includes 4 GB of internal storage, NFC for contactless payments, and built-in GPS. Health-focused sensors such as ECG, heart rate, SpO2, and skin temperature monitoring are also integrated. Users can choose from over 1,000 watch faces and access more than 100 sports modes.
Pricing and availability for the Oppo Watch S are expected to be confirmed on October 16. The smartwatch will launch first in China, though Oppo has not yet announced plans for an international rollout.
