Xiaomi has expanded its premium wearable lineup in China with the launch of the Xiaomi Watch 5, a flagship smartwatch featuring advanced health sensors, gesture-based controls and an optional 3D-printed titanium band, the company said.
The Watch 5 was unveiled alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone series and is available in multiple configurations. Pricing starts at around $285 with a rubber band, rising to roughly $330 for an eSIM-enabled version with a leather strap, while a 3D-printed titanium band costs an additional $110. Xiaomi said the titanium band is designed to be both lightweight and durable, targeting users seeking a more elegant look.

Health and interaction features are a key focus of the new model. In addition to ECG monitoring, the Watch 5 includes an EMG sensor that measures hand muscle activity and can distinguish between different finger and hand movements. According to Xiaomi, these gestures can be used for actions such as answering calls, dismissing alarms or taking photos on a connected smartphone.
The smartwatch measures 47 mm and features a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 by 480 pixels and peak brightness of 1,500 nits. It is powered by Qualcomm’s W5 chipset and a 930 mAh battery, which Xiaomi says can deliver up to six days of use in performance mode.

Running on HyperOS 3, the Watch 5 supports heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring and is rated at 5 ATM for water resistance. While the device is expected to reach some international markets, a potential European launch may take place around the Mobile World Congress next March, and Xiaomi has indicated that an official U.S. release is unlikely.
