YouTube has announced that it will discontinue their annual YouTube Rewind tradition.
However, YouTube will instead host a 24-hour live streaming event featuring musicians and content creators, to take a look at the biggest trends and videos of 2021.
The show is called Escape2021 and will have three chapters, with the first chapter starting on December 16, 2021.
According The Verge on Monday (12/13/2021), Lauren Verrusio, a spokesperson for YouTube, said Escape2021 was not intended to replace YouTube Rewind.
