Garmin has begun rolling out beta version 5.01 to eligible users of its Lily 2 Active smartwatch, adding new features and system improvements to the device launched in October 2024.

According to the release notes, the update includes two new watch faces and enhancements to the weather forecast functionality. Previously, the device would display a “waiting for data” message if information was incomplete.

With the new firmware, partial data will now be shown where available. The About page has also been updated to display the watch’s serial number.

In addition to these changes, the update brings a Bluetooth-related fix and upgrades the Sensor Hub to version 34.10 and Text Translations to version 5.01. These improvements follow earlier beta releases that addressed bugs and introduced an Auto Pause feature.

As of this writing, no new issues have been reported by users running the 5.01 beta. The firmware is being distributed automatically to Garmin Beta Program participants via Garmin Connect Mobile. Users interested in testing beta releases can opt into the program through their Garmin Connect account.
