A number of new emojis are predicted to be coming to and devices in the near future. Currently, Emojipedia has provided users with previews of emojis, including shaking faces, high fives, and many more.

Launching The Verge (14/7), the Unicode Consortium is reportedly considering various new characters to come. This information states, the Consortium currently only has 31 new drafts. The plan, this emoji will be launched in 2022 to 2023.

The final design of this draft will be presented in various ways according to the interests of certain platforms, such as and . For this, Emojipedia has provided drafts and sample images from the Emoji 15.0 update for the time being.

Furthermore, this sample emoji illustration draft is still subject to change prior to the final approval and finalization process. The Verge said that the Unicode Consortium will complete this finalization stage in September 2022.

Through the preview provided by Emojipedia, several new emojis that are likely to be present on Android and iOS appear to be shown. There’s a vibrating emoji for a surprised expression, a folded hands emoji as a high five, a wireless emoji, a pink heart and some new animal and plant emojis.

This emoji 15.0 update will include new mammals, birds and jellyfish. Apart from that, this year users will also get faces of deer, donkey, blackbird, swan, and wings. As for the plant emoji, Emojipedia will be bringing water hyacinth, ginger, and pods characters in this update.

So far, the total number of emojis that will be presented is 31 characters. This is significantly a fairly small number considering the large number of characters recommended in the previous few years. A total of 112 character recommendations were presented last year and 334 characters in 2020.

“In fact, this is the smallest number of new emoji Unicode has ever recommended at any one time,” Emojipedia said, as reported by The Verge.
