Paper Marion 64 for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack

The Switch Online app on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles will feature one of the N64’s best games, Paper Mario. The game will come with an expansion pack on December 10, 2021.

Paper Mario is one of the highest rated console games and one that is widely regarded as one of the greatest RPGs of all time. At the time of publication, this was the only game announced at that time, but usually the game brand from the console will also add multiple games at once.

It looks like Paper Mario won’t be the only game added, but it’s possible that it will be the only N64 game. And of course, it’s possible that more N64 games will be announced between now and December 10th. Unfortunately, Nintendo does not provide any information regarding this.

Debuting in Japan in 2000, Paper Mario didn’t come to the West until 2001. Developed by Intelligent Systems, the developers of now-famous Fire Emblem, the game was an instant success, racking up 93 on Metacritic and spawning another Mario sub-series in the process.

For Nintendo Switch owners who have never played the original Paper Mario, the developer explains a description for uploading it. After King Bowser steals the Star Rod and kidnaps Princess Peach, Mario plans to save the seven Star Spirits and free the Mushroom Kingdom from Koopa’s rule.

As Mario travels from the tropical forests of Lavalava Island to the frigid heights of Mount Shiver, he’ll need all the help he can get. “Master the abilities of seven Star Spirits and other allies who join forces on an adventure to help our heroes on the battlefield,” Nintendo wrote.
