Apple is reportedly preparing a number of features for the iPhone 15 in 2023 while the iPhone 14 has not yet launched. One of them is about the camera that will be used.
The American technology company has long been rumored to be using a periscope camera for the iPhone 15.
Quoted from the GSM Arena page, Sunday (23/1/2022), analyst Jeff Pu said Apple was testing prototypes and components for a telephoto lens with 5 times magnification.
Periscope lenses are nothing new for phones, especially Android. This lens allows the optical devices on the telephoto camera to be placed horizontally to keep the phone body slim.
After testing, Apple will decide on the maker of this lens in May. The news circulating, the lens manufacturer is Lante Optics and there will be 100 million units for Apple.
This periscope camera will be used on the “highest model of the iPhone 2023 line”, aka iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Meanwhile, for 2022, Apple will launch the iPhone 14 which is predicted to come with a 48MP camera.
