After Android 12, Google is now preparing to present the Android 13 OS with the latest features in 2022. Evidently, Google has released the Android 13 Developer Preview which developers can download on its official website.
With the Developer Preview version, developers can see what features and bugs Android 13 needs to fix before it’s officially released to all users.
Although the Android 13 Developer Preview is easy for us to download, it is recommended not to install it on phones that are used every day. In addition to many bugs, this OS is not stable and may cause certain problems on the phone.

Here is the latest set of features that Harid predicts on Android 13 based on the Developer Preview.
Photo Picker
Google introduced the latest Photo Picker API on Android 13. Through the Photo Picker API, users can share photos or videos in only one application.
That way, photos and videos won’t appear in other apps like gallery apps. For example, if photos and videos are stored in the cloud or the WhatsApp application, then you can only access and share those files through these services.
Application Icons Following HP Themes
The Material You feature will be brought to Android 13. Through this feature, application icons such as WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, and so on will follow the Android cellphone theme.
This feature can be activated or deactivated by the user himself and in the early stages of launch, this feature will be present for Google Pixel phones.

In addition, Android 13 is also equipped with a Quick Settings Placement API that will make it easier for users to find which apps have configurable Quick Tiles.
Update Applications Via Play Store
On Android 13 users will do a lot of updating the system’s default applications through the Play Store rather than through operating system updates. Later on, updating Bluetooth devices, Photo Picker, and so on will be able to be done through the Play Store like other applications.
This feature is currently being developed by Google through a project called Project Mainline.
Android 13 for Tablets and Chromebooks
So far, the Android OS for smartphones, tablets, or chromebooks, has a different type. For example, Android 12 for cellphones and Android 12L for devices with large screens such as tablets and Chromebooks.
However, this does not happen with Android 13, because the latest Android OS will also support tablets, folding screen cellphones, and Chromebooks.

Keep in mind that this is just a prediction so it is not certain whether the feature will be available or not on Android 13 later.
As for Android 13, it will reach the platform stability stage in June 2022, and may be released around July 2022 or to coincide with the launch of the latest Pixel series.
