Gmail is now integrated with one of the new features of iOS for , namely Focus mode. It allows users to set notifications to be inactive at certain hours of the day.

As reported by TechRadar (19/4), Focus mode on iPhone gives users access to be able to set certain notifications, apps and services to be silent at different times of the day, such as when they are at home.

running on iOS 15 devices can now work with these profiles, either automatically generated by or customized by the user, to ensure users only get the notifications they want at any given time.

“Now you can specify which Chat and Gmail contacts you still want notifications from when your iOS device is in Focus mode,” explains Google. “This is useful in situations where you need to limit screen time, but don’t want to miss important messages while other notifications are muted.”

This feature will also provide clear boundaries for workers who are still working from home. As is known, the pandemic has forced some people to work from home. However, the absence of a clear boundary between the office and home environment makes work and rest times blurry.

By managing notifications like this, at least users will not receive work-related emails from certain contacts, when the time off or the desired time has arrived.
