The Adidas RPT-02 SOL wireless headphones come with a long service life, which is claimed to be up to 80 hours on a single charge. This is one of the longest-lasting headphones on the market today.

However, long service life is not the main attraction of this one device. Instead, the main attraction of the Adidas RPT-02 SOL is the light-charging feature.

Interestingly, this charger can not only be used when the sun is full, but also can be charged even using room lighting. This means that the battery of this device can still be charged even when it is raining or even at night.

The RPT-02 SOL is the culmination of adidas collaboration with Zound Industries with charging made possible through both artificial and natural light sources. This is the second iteration of the model and comes with several improvements.

Its predecessor, the RPT-01 featured 40 hours of battery life, but the latest version has doubled the battery life to 80 hours. This is further enhanced by its charging capabilities, as users can charge the RPT-02 even through room lighting. Thus it can charge at any time of the day.

The Adidas RPT-02 SOL is made from recycled materials including plastic and nylon. The headband is made of flexible solar cell material that can be molded into plastic. This solar charging technology was developed by Swedish company Powerfoyle although the RPT-02 SOL is not the first headphone to feature solar charging.

These Adidas headphones are not waterproof but hold IPX4 certification. There are integrated controls for changing songs or adjusting volume. The device also has an indicator that helps the user to have the best light source to charge it. There is also a USB-C cable that can be used to charge the RPT-02.

Availability of the RPT-02 SOL is scheduled for August 23, 2022 via the Adidas Headphones website. The price for this device is USD 229.
