Dynabook has introduced its latest Tecra-series laptops, asserting that the new models are the most advanced in their lineup to date. The Tecra A40-M and A60-M feature Intel’s Meteor Lake processors, including options up to the Core Ultra 7 165H, and are equipped to run the Copilot assistant in Windows 11 Pro.
Both laptops are designed with a robust Dark Blue chassis, featuring backlit keyboards and large trackpads. The Tecra A40-M sports a 14-inch display, while the A60-M has a larger 16-inch screen.
Each model offers optional touchscreen functionality with 1920×1200 resolution. The A40-M, with its more compact build, may appeal to users needing a portable option, whereas the A60-M includes a full number pad and is noted for being slightly thinner.
The new Tecra A-series laptops are MIL-STD-810H-rated for durability and include an IONPure IPL antimicrobial treatment. Constructed from ABS plastic rather than metal, the devices come with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth connectivity. They are powered by Intel’s 14th-generation platform, supporting speeds described as “superhero” by Dynabook.
Security features include optional smart-card readers, fingerprint readers, and dTPM 2.0 modules, providing “unmatched” institutional security. The laptops are set to start at $1,300 each in the US market.
