EverStone Studio’s upcoming action-adventure RPG Where Winds Meet will launch globally on November 14, the developer announced during a recent preview event. Set in China’s Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era, the open-world title invites players to explore a world of political upheaval, martial arts mastery, and personal choice.

“Where Winds Meet is about living your own story in a world that feels real,” said Eric, a developer from EverStone Studio. “You can go anywhere, fight anyone, and become whoever you want.” Players can master 12 martial arts styles and 23 mystical techniques, each with distinct combat patterns and animations choreographed by Hong Kong action director Stephen Tung Wai, a four-time Hong Kong Film Award winner.

The latest reveal introduced the Rope Dart, a flexible weapon designed to exploit opponents’ weaknesses. EverStone described it as a tool that “proves how softness can conquer hardness,” reflecting the game’s philosophy of skill and cunning over brute strength. The studio also previewed new characters, including Nan Zhu, a strategist whose appearance marks a key turning point in the story.

The adventure begins in Qinghe, a tranquil rural region filled with hidden mysteries, and later expands to Kaifeng, a bustling city populated by over 10,000 NPCs. Each character has their own motivations, allowing players to shape relationships and story outcomes. More than 1,200 cultural artifacts can be discovered throughout the world, deepening the game’s historical grounding.

EverStone confirmed that all in-game content will be free to play, with seasonal updates adding new modes and storylines. The first post-launch season, titled Blade Out, will expand the game’s narrative and introduce limited-time events. Pre-downloads begin on November 12, with launch rewards including exclusive outfits and cosmetic items available to early players.
