Garmin has begun rolling out its beta version 15.16 update for the Venu X1 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches, introducing minor refinements and one new improvement to the devices’ software.
The latest release follows closely after version 15.10, carrying over most of the same changes from recent updates. According to Garmin’s changelog, users will continue to see the new Health Status glance and the option to power off the device without entering a passcode. For Venu X1 owners, three additional watch faces have been added.
The only notable new change in version 15.16 is an update to Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) translations, now upgraded to version 3.10. Garmin did not specify what enhancements this brings, but the revision may improve localization or app integration.
In a post on the company’s official forum, a Garmin team member confirmed that “the beta version 15.16 updates are now available for all users of the Venu X1 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches.” The update can be installed manually through the menu by navigating to Settings > System > Software Update > Check for Updates.
The Venu X1 and vivoactive 6, currently priced around $299.99 on Amazon, remain part of Garmin’s mid-range smartwatch lineup, offering features such as health tracking, AMOLED displays, and integration with Garmin Connect for fitness data management.
Garmin’s continued software support underscores its commitment to iterative performance improvements and user experience refinement, even in non-flagship models.
