GoPro is a brand known among sports fans for their Hero line of action cameras. The company’s latest model is the Hero10 Black which will be launched in September 2021. Perhaps due to a flood of demands for a better battery, GoPro has launched the Enduro battery pack for the Hero9 and Hero10 Black models in China.
The GoPro Hero10 Black has the same 1,720 mAh battery as the new Enduro battery, but the difference is that the new battery pack is suited to perform well in low temperature conditions.
Reporting from Gizmochina (21/1), the new GoPro Enduro battery for Hero9 and Hero10 Black will support users who like winter sports because the battery will stay warm. This prevents a possible shutdown of the device due to sub-zero temperatures.
GoPro says that the device can still shoot up to 76 minutes of 4K/60fps video in environments with temperatures as low as 10°C. The device with this battery can also shoot 1080p/30fps video for 115 minutes, 4K/120fps for 50 minutes, and 5.3K/60fps for 56 minutes under the same temperature conditions.
Apart from supporting normal operation in extreme weather conditions, the new Enduro battery also brings several improvements in the battery life of the device under normal conditions. GoPro claims this can increase performance by up to 40%. Not only that, the Enduro battery charges up to 13% faster than standard GoPro batteries. This will be especially useful for adventurers who may need to charge several batteries throughout the night while on the road.
