The Huawei Mate 50 series can be powered only by Snapdragon chips. This processor is likely Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, said an informant who provided information recently. The information comes from a prominent tipster “Chrysanthemum Pictures Fans” who also said that the Snapdragon chip would once again lack 5G capabilities.
Compared to the P50 series, the camera on the Huawei Mate 50 series has been improved. The software is also said to have a good experience and is based on HarmonyOS 3.0.
Apart from that almost nothing is known about the Huawei Mate 50 flagship. But usually we will get some more information before the launch.
The launch of the phone has been scheduled for mid to late July according to the information. An artist last month released several renders based on what they envisioned for the Mate 50 series.
Huawei has long been unable to ship its phones with 5G capabilities due to sanctions from the United States. The company was also unable to manufacture the new Kirin chipset but managed to maintain a very large stock. This stock seems to be finally running out, which is why Huawei now has to rely on Qualcomm for processor solutions in its newer offerings.
The Huawei Mate 50 series will obviously launch in China first and its global rollout is yet to be confirmed. However, judging by the pattern of previous releases, this series of phones will be released globally a few months later.
