The number of users of OPPO’s operating system ColorOS has increased rapidly since its official release. And their latest OS, ColorOS 12, offers a better user interface and has features like 3D icons, Privacy Dashboard, and Flexible Windows.
And recently, OPPO via a recent Twitter post, revealed that ColorOS has more than 500 million global monthly active users. This is impressive considering that last year their mobile phone shipments fell by as much as 2%. Despite declining shipments, OPPO still managed to overtake other Chinese manufacturers, as reported by CINNO. It seems that OPPO ColorOS really does wonders here.
Reporting from Gizmochina (18/2), the ColorOS user base is expected to increase further this year given that there are several major phone launches in the works.

One of these launches was the Chinese debut of the OPPO Find X5 series. This series of phones will be launched on February 24 in the country. This will include the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro models. Based on leaks on the Internet, OPPO will use the home-made MariSilicon X NPU in the Find X5 Pro. The chipset will be paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.

The Find X5 series will have an AMOLED display with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ resolution on the “regular” model and a 6.7-inch QHD+ screen on the Pro model. Both will have a 32 MP front camera and a 50 MP triple rear camera system. Unlike the Pro model, the Find X5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 or 888+ processor.
