Electronic Arts has opened a free trial period for Battlefield 6, making the multiplayer shooter available at no cost on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC until Dec. 2. The company said the offer allows new players to experience the full All-Out Warfare mode for one week, including a lineup of maps and modes representative of the current version of the game.

The promotion focuses on the recently released Eastwood map, which is set in Southern California. The level features large-scale battles with tanks and attack helicopters, alongside lighter vehicles that provide unconventional mobility. According to the original announcement, the design allows for “quick getaway” moments that can result in “dumbfounded looks from the enemy as you zip past their front line.”

EA said the free trial reflects momentum during what it calls the strongest launch in franchise history. Data from market researcher GfK and the German Games Industry Association indicated more than 600,000 copies were sold in Germany in October, reinforcing the title’s commercial performance. Battlefield 6 has also secured nominations at The Game Awards in the categories of Best Multiplayer, Best Action and Best Audio Design.

In addition to the standard modes, the trial includes the REDSEC battle royale mode, which has now become a permanent component of the package. Player progress during the trial will carry over to the full game if users decide to purchase afterward.

Two versions are available for purchase: the Standard Edition and the Phantom Edition. The latter contains the Phantom Squad Pack, cosmetic upgrades for characters and vehicles, two pre-unlocked weapon configurations and the Battlefield Pro token, which provides access to the Battle Pass premium track and an immediate 25-rank jump, along with XP boosters and other items.

The free trial and full game can be accessed through Steam, the EA App or the Epic Games Store on PC. EA noted that players must install the most recent patches to access online features.
