Nioh 3 will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC next month, leaving Xbox and Nintendo players waiting at least six months before the action role-playing game could arrive on other platforms, according to details confirmed in a newly released trailer.

The trailer, published by Sony to showcase the PS5 version, includes a disclaimer indicating that the game will remain exclusive to PlayStation consoles and PC for a limited period. The title is scheduled to release on February 6 via the PS5 and Steam, with no immediate plans announced for Xbox or Nintendo systems.

While Koei Tecmo is publishing the game globally, developer Team Ninja has a long history of supporting multiple platforms, including Xbox consoles and Nintendo systems. The trailer noted that Nioh 3 “will not be available on other platforms for at least six months,” leaving open the possibility of wider releases later in 2026.

Sony-backed console exclusives have become less common in recent years, particularly for franchises with an established multi-platform audience. Earlier entries in the Nioh series debuted first on PlayStation hardware before expanding to PC within a year.

With Koei Tecmo now holding worldwide publishing rights, analysts see the current release plan as a case of timed exclusivity rather than a permanent platform lock, suggesting that additional versions could follow once the initial window closes.
