Apple iPad Pro 2022 will use M2 3nm chipset

Apple is expected to launch its next-generation Pro this fall and if new reports are to be believed, then the premium will be powered by the company’s yet-to-be-announced M2 .

The report coming from @Dylandkt also claims that the upcoming iPad Pro, which comes with 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen versions, will be one of the devices Apple plans to launch this fall.

Reporting from Gizmochina (24/1), it is also claimed that the new iPad Pro may not feature the previously rumored MagSafe Charging feature. Further, it is said that the 11-inch model may have the Mini LED backlit display that the company has used in the 12.9-inch model.

It’s entirely possible that the Apple iPad Pro could be powered by the M2 chipset considering that the current generation model is powered by the Apple M1 chipset. While not much is known about this upcoming Apple Silicon , it is rumored to be manufactured using the 3nm process by TSMC.

Also, the iPad Pro isn’t the only product that is expected to be powered by an M2 processor this fall. There are reports claiming that the tech giant will upgrade its 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chipset model in the second half of this year, as well as a new MacBook Air in the coming months.

The report also adds that the much-anticipated Apple AirPods Pro 2 earphones will be launching soon in the fall.
