The Xiaomi 12 Pro is being billed as a redefinition of the company’s flagship standard, with an upgraded lineup of specs from the regular model.
This model has a larger screen size than the Xiaomi 12, which is 6.73 inches. The screen uses an E5 AMOLED with WQHD + resolution and the brightness level reaches 1500 nits. This configuration is claimed to provide a better screen experience, but is 50% more power efficient.
Refresh rates that support up to 120Hz are equipped with LTPO AdaptiveSync technology which can automatically switch to the lowest level of 1Hz, according to on-screen activity. For audio, the Xiaomi 12 Pro adopts quad speakers from the Xiaomi Pad 5 which consists of 2 tweeters and 2 woofers, with Harman Kardon and Dolby Atmos technology.
In terms of cameras, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is also distinguished from the Xiaomi 12, where all the rear cameras have a resolution of 50MP. It consists of 50MP wide angle, 50MP telephoto, and 50MP ultra wide angle. All three cameras are also equipped with a night mode so you can take night pictures from any lens.
The camera uses the latest Sony IMX707 sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches. This sensor can absorb 49% more light than the IMX766 used by Xiaomi 12. For low light photos, this sensor helps Pro Night Photo, Ultra Night Photo 2.0, and Ultra Night Video work more optimally. Not to forget, ProFocus is also presented on this smartphone.
Turning to the runway, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the same as the other model. However, this model comes with a larger battery capacity, which is 4600 mAh with 120W hyper charge.
This fast charging has a boost mode which can fully charge in 18 minutes and a standard mode which fully charges 24 minutes. Xiaomi designed its own Surge P1 chip which is tasked with providing more efficiency when charging and is compatible with 120W adapters.
