WhatsApp continues to improve the user experience with a variety of new features. Some time ago WhatsApp Desktop brought a major upgrade with multi-device features, where users no longer need to be constantly connected to the WhatsApp application on smartphones when using WhatsApp Desktop or the Web.
And recently, WhatsApp is rumored to be back to improve the WhatsApp Desktop and web features by providing the Two-Step Verification feature. The news was leaked by WABetaInfo.
This feature will certainly help users in securing their WhatsApp account on their Desktop/web. It is undeniable, nowadays many people rely on WhatsApp Desktop at work, because of course they can more easily access chat directly and send documents from their PC devices. And of course security is the main thing that must be maintained.

In the captured image shared by WABetaInfo, later users can activate the Two-Step Verification option on WhatsApp desktop. If this is enabled, users will get a verification code in the WhatsApp smartphone application before logging in to WhatsApp Desktop/Web.
Currently, users who want to login to WhatsApp Desktop/Web only need to scan the QR Code without performing two-step verification. This is safe enough, but with the addition of the Two-Step Verification feature it will be safer from unwanted things.
