Netflix gives its subscribers access to thousands of series and movies with options that are always new and varied. If you want to share your device with friends or family, you can upgrade to a higher plan.
However, there are times when users may feel that they are no longer compatible with Netflix content. With today’s many streaming platform options, you may want to experience a new experience by subscribing to Disney+, Viu, or Apple TV and discontinuing your Netflix membership.
For that, here we provide the steps to cancel your Netflix membership.
- Sign in to your account on Netflix.com
- When the page loads, click on the main account to go to the Netflix streaming page
- Hover over your profile picture in the upper right corner of the screen
- Drop down the menu and select Account
- After the account information appears, click the button next to now that says “Cancel Membership”
- A new page that opens will notify you that the membership has been canceled and will display the date the account will be operational
Please note, if a user changes their mind and wants to resubscribe, you can restart at any time, according to the official Netflix page. The user’s streaming activity will be kept for 10 months after the account is closed.
Thus, information such as recommendations, ratings, account details, game history, and game saves will still be available during this time period.
